Keelers Brook (formerly Rowaton Brook as early as 1682, Butlers Brook named for John Butler as early as 1727 and Richards Brook as early as 1740) is the brook which crosses Flax Hill Road east of Keeler Avenue. The name dates back at least as early as 1960. The part of Keelers Brook north of Scribner Avenue was called Great Brook at least as early as 1740. 1
