WRAL Raleigh Christmas Parade was held Saturday November 19, 2011.  The largest Christmas Parade between Washington, DC and Atlanta. Thousands lined the streets of Downtown Raleigh to kickoff the holiday season. With an expected attendance of more than 60,000 peopl.

Now in its 66th year, the parade will feature over 100 entries, including bands, fantastic floats, super-sized balloons, marchers, twirlers, entertainers and a special surprise at the end of the parade.

Parade Route

Begins on Hillsborough Street at St. Mary’s Street, proceeds to the State Capitol, turns right onto Salisbury Street, turns left onto Morgan St., turns right onto Fayetteville St and continues to Lenoir Street where it disbands. 

Length of Parade Route:
Approximately 1.4 miles
