An ophthalmologist / cornea specialist in North Raleigh since 2010 with Lowry Porter Ophthalmology. 

Isaac W. Porter, MD moved to the triangle in 2005 from his home state of Kentucky for ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He completed a one year cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago before beginning his practice in Raleigh.  Specializing in cornea, LASIK, cataract / lens implant surgery, and dry eye disease, he is available for any eye care needs.

In 2011 Dr. Porter established the weekly video series A State of Sight to give updates on common eye problems in an easily accessible and understandable format to his patients and the online community.  A State of Sight has been well received and can be found at youtube.com/eyeporter.  The episode below explains what is involved in a routine eye examination.
