Opened in 1965 by Robert Logan Sr.  Needing to expand the one stop garden shop, Logan's moved to now Historic Seaboard Railroad Station.  The relocation in 1991 allowed for more space and added gift shop.  This created a greater opportunity to sell more household items and gifts.   In addition to offering gardening and landscape needs, the Logan's have worked to help build a better community.  Logan's offers free gardening classes and events on every Second Saturday.  See our Calendar of classes and events to learn more.  They work with Plant a Row for the HungryComeUnityNow, and Raleigh City Farm.   Plant a Row for the Hungry facilitated getting fresh produce donations from community and personal gardens to local families in need.  ComeUnityNow is a gathering of businesses, churches and individuals bringing awareness and support to local non-profit groups through free music and arts events year-round.  Raleigh City Farm’s mission is engage city dwellers in the process of growing food, sparking imaginations about agriculture in the city. The Farm will be an educational tool to demonstrate responsible, intensive growing techniques as we move toward a restorative, community-based food system.
