The Handmade Market is a one-day, indoor designer craft fair and market featuring handcrafted goods from 50 artists, designers and crafters from NC and beyond. The next event will run from 11 am until 5 pm on Saturday, May 12th.  The Handmade Market will be held at Cobblestone Hall in downtown Raleigh.  The entrance is located at 215 Wolfe Street in City Market, just south of Moore Square, in the former Greenshields building.

Applicants are juried into The Handmade Market with a focus on local and regional artists. Participating designers represent such diverse groups of modern handcrafts including jewelry, baby and kid’s goods, men and women’s apparel, fashion accessories, home goods, natural body products, fine art and stationery.

The Spring show also includes a fundraiser to benefit a local environmental charity.  In the past, visitors to the market have raised thousands of dollars for such causes as Hospice of Wake County, Animalkind, Meals on Wheels, Toxic Free NC and many more. This May, The Handmade Market has selected Raleigh City Farm for its local charity. Money will be raised through a voluntary raffle during the event.

Since its inception in 2006, The Handmade Market has become one of the Southeast’s most highly anticipated shopping events. The Handmade Market is produced by The Handmaidens and is made possible with support from local businesses and volunteers.
