The Pit is located in Raleigh's Warehouse District as a relative newcomer to the North Carolina barbecue scene.  The restaurant has won a rib challenge on Food Network's "Throwdown with Bobby Flay," been featured on The Travel Channel's "Man vs. Food" and has participated in a barbecue cook-off on NBC's "The Today Show", ABC's "Good Morning America" and "The Morning Show" on CBS.  The Pit takes a North Carolina favorite to a new level serving Texas-style brisket, baby back ribs, barbecue turkey, fried chicken, and most surprisingly tofu. The Pit is open for lunch, dinner, parties and catering. With innovative starters and sides making this a unique dining experience even for someone who frequents North Carolina barbeque restaurants.
