The Tryon Pines neighborhood is located in South Raleigh off Tryon Road, just east of the intersection of Tryon Road and Lake Wheeler Road.  The entrance to the neighborhood is found at the intersection of Tryon Pines Drive and Tryon Road.  The neighborhood is made up of approximately 115 detached, single family homes.

The neighborhood is located in the 27603 zip code, and connects to the Villages of Tryon neighborhood at the intersection of Beehnon Way and Betry Place.
