goMarketNC is a farmers' market that is co-located at @Locopops in @Old West Durham. It was established in May, 2013. Like other farmers' markets, the market is open one day per week. Unlike other markets, the farmers and other vendors pre-sell all of their products in advance through an online webstore. The market focuses on serving small vendors including small urban farms and "micropreneurs" that produce in small certified home kitchens. Well over half of the businesses that sell through the marketplace are female-owned businesses.
The market has some elements of a #coop, but would more accurately be described as a #peer-to-peer platform.
