I'm a research associate at Duke University and managing editor of Reporters' Lab at Duke's Center for Media and Democracy. At the lab, we're researching ways to make investigative and public affairs reporting more accesible to newsrooms. I'm also a freelance science and technology reporter who is regularly published in The News & Observer, The Charlotte Observer and the Raleigh Public Record.
I'm a graduate of North Carolina State University, a former editorial adviser to N.C. State Student Media and a former Web producer for News 14 Carolina.
