Kaiser Permanente Public Affairs, East Bay
Community Benefit Program
Kaiser Permanente’s Community Benefit program supports a range of activities to enrich the health of our communities. The East Bay Area Community Benefit Program provides funding to local nonprofit health and human service organizations with an emphasis on underserved populations. We do this through responsive grants and sponsorships for community events. We believe in the power of partnership and working together to make a bigger impact on the health of our communities.
Grant Program: Our grant program is now closed for the 2012 grant cycle. To be added to the distribution list for the 2013 grant cycle please send an email to [email protected].
Geographic Area of Focus
The East Bay Area Community Benefit office supports organizations that work within the cities located in West Contra Costa County and Northern Alameda County. If your organization works in another area, please contact our office so that we may direct you to the appropriate Community Benefit office.
Our office provides grants to organizations that support the following community health priorities:
-
Prevention of Community Violence
-
Prevention of Obesity and Overweight
-
Improvements in Perinatal Health
-
Asthma Management
-
Access to care and coverage with a focus on HIV prevention
These community health priorities were selected after a comprehensive community needs assessment process was completed in 2010. The assessment included a number of community focus groups and health data from the Alameda and Contra Costa County Health Departments.
