58 Degrees & Holding is an independently owned wine shop and bar located in midtown Sacramento. Two other 58 Degrees are located in Arizona. The shop carries over 600 different wines, and they have a small cool storage room (which is touted as being a constant...you guessed it...58 degrees), where special bottles can be stored for a fee. The wine bar features a small menu, with a four-course prix fixe menu for $25 ($40 with wine flights) every Monday and Tuesday. They periodically offer wine tasting.
58 Degrees received Wine Spectator magazine's 2007 Award of Excellence.

2007-08-16 22:19:23 I went here a couple of months ago with a friend. Tends to be 30-50s crowd, at least on the wine-tasting night I went. Yummy cheese/hors d'oeuvre plates; on the higher cost side, but fully in line with what I expected. The guy in the shop and the two people at the bar were friendly and not condescending, which sometimes goes along with wine bars. They have a (very) small patio, which I was glad to discover since I'm always on the lookout for outdoor eating and drinking places. —robinlaughlin
