Head shops sell glass pipes and other paraphernalia commonly associated with marijuana, as well as incense, posters, novelty items, etc. In the Days of Yore, one of Tower Records most successful operations was Tower Posters at Watt Ave, which was a head shop with an astounding wall display of bongs. When the County of Sacramento outlawed the selling of any items used mainly to consume illegal drugs with, the head shops in the city & county closed. Tower stopped selling bongs and pipes and concentrated on posters, rock t-shirts, and concert tickets. Eventually Tower Posters was replaced by Tower Video.
