Old Ironsides is an established bar and small-scale music venue in midtown Sacramento. Alive and Kicking aka Jerry Perry hosts shows there every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, plus the Lipstick indie rock dance party every Tuesday and open mic every Wednesday. The Alive and Kicking shows are mostly local bands, but every once in a while there are shows with rad touring acts like Jonathan Richman.

They used to have all-ages Sunday matinees periodically, and the Groovie Ghoulies would usually play to their prepubescent following, but I don't think they do it anymore.
