This temporary location for the bike park was located just across the street from the entrance to the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf. The park has been relocated to a permanent location just around the corner at Depot Park, while this area has been turned back into a parking lot.
Now just another parking lot... (June 2009)
Some of the other uses of this location in the past (besides being a parking lot) includes: a temporary location for a skateboard park until the Ken Wormhoudt Skate Park was completed; the Fun Spot; and a gas station, just to name a few.
This is now the location of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center.
