Borders Express was a smaller version of the Borders bookstores. This branch was formerly known as Waldenbooks (a subsidiary of Borders Group). They have books and magazines only. Every winter they have an extensive collection of calendars.

July 18, 2011. According to an AP story about the sale of Borders. Borders "is seeking court approval to liquidate its stores after it failed to receive any bids that would keep it in business." July 22, 2011. The Borders web page mentions the going out of business sale because no bidder had come forward to keep the company functioning. In addition, the CEO Mike Edwards added: "As a company, we cannot thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to serve you and the millions of other customers who have shopped out stores over the years. My sincerest hope is that we remain in the hears of readers for years to come." September 18, 2011 the last of the Borders stores (nation-wide) close.
