Bruce Bratton is a columnist who writes about local history, politics, performing arts, cinema, and area life. He has a real love for Santa Cruz and features a historical photo of the area in every weekly column. He has written for all of the local weeklies at one point or another for 41 years, and is now publishing his column online (for thirteen years) as well as hosting a weekly radio program called Universal Grapevine, which airs every Tuesday from 7pm-8pm on KZSC 88.1 fm.
