Every 7-Eleven store in Santa Cruz County has a Citibank branded ATM. Some of them can accept check deposits. All Citibank branches in Santa Cruz County have at least one full service ATM that accepts deposits. To call any Citibank you call the toll-free 800 number. Citicorp came to Santa Cruz County by buying Fidelity Federal Savings in 1982. They changed the name to Citicorp Savings. It was a Savings and Loan. In March 1990 Citicorp Savings changed the name to Citibank.

In 2002, Citibank bought West National Association, (the branches were all called Cal Fed) and moved from the Capitola Road branch of Citibank to the current building on 41st. Avenue. The Watsonville location was also acquired. West, National Association had recently acquired California Federal (Cal Fed) in 2002.

Cal Fed came to Santa Cruz County in 1997. First Nationwide Bank bought California Federal Bank in 1997 and kept California Federal's name (Cal Fed), changing the First Nationwide Bank name to California Federal (Cal Fed). The combined company kept First Nationwide's headquarters in San Francisco. First Nationwide came to Santa Cruz County by buying San Francisco Federal Savings and Loan Association, in 1996. It was San Francisco Federal Savings and Loan Association that built the Capitola location. The Watsonville location was originally a First Federal Savings branch.
