A Watsonville native who lives in Aptos, DAN YOUNG is a professional musician and also a music educator, serving as musical director at Pajaro Valley High School. Dan plays with a number of groups throughout California for live performances as well as on recording projects. He leads the PLEASURE POINT HORNS ( a 'rent-a-horn-section') and fronts the funky eight piece PLEASURE POINT BRASS BAND. http://www.pleasurepointbrassband.com/

Dan is also a biogeographer and has been involved in environmental issues since 1971. He is the co-founder of both the SURFRIDER FOUNDATION (www.surfrider.org) and the SANTA CRUZ SURFING MUSEUM.
