Dollar City was a cross between a Dollar Tree and a Kmart. Although the prices were varied, some items were a $1, $2, $5, and $10. They had better quality and service than what you would find in a Big Box store.
Their were new things every day. Hardware, toys, food, drinks, automotive, arts and crafts, and musicical instruments.
The business also offered help planning for any themed event.
Music groups used their window display stage to promote themselves. These were non-paying gigs with no charge for the use of the stage, and included open mics..
