It was called Krazy's because it was owned (at first) by Krazy George, the cheerleader for hire and inventor of the wave at sports events. George Henderson started Krazy's as a sports bar that was best known for having a batting cage outside. (The only batting cage in the county at that time.) It was also known for the music on Friday and Saturday.

Krazy George is still active as a professional cheerleader as of 2010.

The Big Stick Surfing Association mention in their records that they held, "..."meetings at Krazy’s Sports Bar in Aptos." A listing of phone booths in the Aptos area for the 1990's list one at "Krazy’s Restaurant & Bar." in Aptos. It was often just called "Krazy's." George sold the business and the new owners kept the name as part of the agreement. I can still find music listings for Krazy's in Aptos as late as 1992. Later the business was sold and the name changed to Aptos Club. Much later it became the Verve Lounge.

The land and building were never owned by the business owners, but rented or leased.
