Mission Statement
To provide a comprehensive range of educational, informational, and advocacy services and to work to create and maintain a safe, inclusive multicultural environment for UCSC's GLBTI students, and to build bridges with GLBTI and youth organizations in Santa Cruz County; in particular, by providing cultural exchanges and community service learning opportunities for queer UCSC students.

1997 as the The GLBT Resource Center, in 2004 it was named after Dr. Lionel Cantú

The Lionel Cantú GLBTI Resource Center is a resource center for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and intersexed students. It was named after the gay sociology professor, Dr. Lionel Cantú Jr., who died in 2002.

Services

The Center provides drop-in support, GLBTI-related news, and collaborates with GLBTI-related student organizations. It is also an official test site for HIV.
