Small, independent bookstore selling new, used, rare and out-of-print books. Literary Guillotine does a great deal of business in selling textbooks for courses at UC Santa Cruz. To get to the Literary Guillotine from the Metro Center, take a right down Pacific Avenue (towards/past the Del Mar) and keep going straight for a while until you get to Locust street (look for "Sock Shop Santa Cruz" or "Pacific Avenue Pizza") and take a left. Go down Locust- the Literary Guillotine is on the right.
