Mike Amaral’s California Beach Boys is a California-based tribute band paying homage to The Beach Boys. From onstage performances to the equipment they use, each member takes pride in his music and technique in order to maintain an authentic Beach Boys sound. Established in 2007 by Mike Amaral, lead singer and founder of The California Beach Boys, the group is an international touring band.
The band’s beginning included performances at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and the Cocoanut Grove. Their influences come from growing up in the 1960's to actually playing on stage with the Surf Legends such as: The Ventures, Surfaris, The Sunrays, and The Rivieras to mention a few. The six piece group, which includes Michel Amaral, along with Dennis Buldo, Scott Slaughter, James Nobriga, Josh Meschi and Richard Schmidt, have performed together as The California Beach Boys since 2007, covering nearly the entire Beach Boys songbook, plus solo material.
This tribute band has brought the music of The Beach Boys to many places on the U.S. west coast including California, Arizona, Canada, Nevada, Washington, Vancouver B.C. Mike Amaral's Beach Boys are world renowned for their precise harmonies which are trademarked by the songs of The Beach Boys (Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Carl Wilson, Mike Love, and Al Jardine). They appeal to people of all ages because of their clean appearance and congenial attitudes. Their performance and entertainment truly pay tribute to The Beach Boys and their contribution to music history.
Mike Amaral's California Beach Boys Tribute Band performed at the world renowned Ahwahnee Hotel at Yosemite National Park for New Years Eve before a crowd of avid party goers. The Boys said, "We had a great time, not to mention the crowd, who demanded two encores! We plan to play there again soon."

Mike Amaral's Background
As a young man of 13, Mike started playing music in bands. He played professionally until age 21, which is when he became a San Jose police officer. Mid-way into his career, he wanted to get back into music, so he created the Rock'n'Roll oldies band, Flashback. Although successful for a number of years, Mike still wanted to create a Beach Boys band, but could not assemble the right band, as The Beach Boys' material is not easy to master. "You have to have guys who have a lot of passion," Amaral says.
