Pebble Beach is in Monterey County. Pebble Beach is bordered by Pacific Grove to the north, Carmel-by-the-Sea to the south, Monterey to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The ZIP Code is 93953. It is part of the Carmel School District. There is Stevenson School, a private high school, in Pebble Beach. The students operate radio station KSPB.
Pebble Beach Company, a subsidiary of Plaut Inc., owns Pebble Beach. Residents pay homeowners' fees for maintenance as well as Monterey County property taxes.
History
Started by Del Monte Properties Company in 1919.
In 1978, 20th Century Fox, purchased the company and renamed it Pebble Beach Company. When Rupert Murdoch boght 20th Century Fox in 1985, former owner Marvin Davis kept the Pebble Beach Company.
In 1990 Davis sold the Pebble Beach Company to the Japanese businessman Minoru Isutani, who made it a subsidiary of the Japanese resort company Taiheiyo Club Inc. The Lone Cypress Company was formed as the holding company.
In 1999 the Pebble Beach Company was acquired from Lone Cypress by an investor group led by Arnold Palmer, Clint Eastwood, and Peter Ueberroth.

It is a residential area with seven golf courses, an the famous Inn at Spanish Bay.
