Where the creek crosses the Powder Mill Trail

Powder Mill Creek originates at an elevation of 600 feet from an area near the campgrounds area in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, where it then flows within the park paralell to Graham Hill Road. It eventually empties into the San Lorenzo River near the covered bridge at Paradise Park.

It is named after the California Powder Works, which was located where the creek enters the San Lorenzo River.

Transportation

Powder Mill creek intersects with the Powder Mill Trail and the Pipeline Road. Powder Mill Creek flows paralell to the Graham Hill Trail, Pine Trail, and Graham Hill Road.
