The Santa Cruz Sentinel hosts this annual even which takes place between Davenport and the Boardwalk. Proceeds from the Santa Cruz Sentinel Triathlon are donated to the Santa Cruz County High School athletic programs, UC Santa Cruz Swim Program, Cabrillo College athletic program, Santa Cruz Track Club, Santa Cruz Triathlon Association and Long Marine Lab.
