2010-12-10 14:49:03   Dan —aka Boxcar— sold the place in 2006 (I think). The train equipment was the property of different people. The new owner let them have the trains in the building. When he quit the lease, the owners of the train stuff came and took it home. If you want to see model trains now, the Santa Cruz County fairgrounds have a train set-up in one of the buildings. —67.169.49.180

2011-03-06 15:10:48   I miss the Train Place Deli, it was a wonderful restaurant. Terrific Pastrami sandwiches and a host of other great food items, plus the train exhibit. It was a great place to relax for lunch. —76.164.191.65

2012-09-05   I miss everyone!  I built The Train place for family fun.  Selling it was sad but I was just burned out.  I am truly sorry the last owners closed it but I am sure they had reasons.  To all who supported me a great big THANK YOU!  --Dan
