Beach Road and goes southwest one-third of a mile to the Pajaro River. There is a bridge over the Pajaro River connecting Thurwachter Road to Monterey County.

The road is straight, level with no bike lanes. Traffic is sparse. Thurwachter Road is part of the Pacific Coast Bike Route in Santa Cruz County.
