Western Wake Robin

There are several varieties of Trillium found locally. Trillium ovatum, or Western Wake Robin, is found in moist areas near streams in the redwood forest. It blooms from March through May, and the flowers change from white to purple as they age. Parts of this plant are very poisonous.
