Stream
Porter Creek flows into Porter Gulch then into Tannery Gulch and later Aptos Creek. The stream is dry most of the year. It is part of the Aptos Creek watershed. History Named for Benjamin Porter, a pioneer of Santa Cruz County. The stream has also been known as Porter Gulch or Porter Gulch Creek.
Businesses
The area is mostly residential. It does flow near the western border of Cabrillo College .
Transportation
Several roads cross or come near Porter Creek. Soquel Drive crosses Porter Creek at Cabrillo College .
