In 2011 there was some controversy surrounding the gray, 5 foot AT&T boxes that sit on some blocks.  AT&T's boxes do not require an impact study under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), but some folks thought they ought to require an impact study.  The week of July 21st the Board of Supervisors voted to continue to not require an impact study for AT&T's boxes.

"No AT&T Boxes" flyers were seen around the city.  This one was outside of El Castillito on Church Street (2011).
