Code for America is a civic technology nonprofit headquartered in San Francisco. They have a variety of programs, including:

The Fellowship

This is Code for America's oldest and best known program. Every year, Code for America hosts 20-30 fellows for a one year residency in which they place developers, designers, and researchers within local governments to develop technological solutions to government problems.

Brigades

The Brigades are a network of volunteer groups around the world (including our very own Code for San Francisco!) dedicated to organizing people who want to hack their local government and civic life.

Civic Startups

The Civic Startup program provides mentorship and funding to chosen technology startups in the civic space.

Peer Network

The Peer Network is where government officials and public servants connect to share civic tech resources, best practices, and open data policies.

Code for All

Code for All is sort of like the Brigades, but international? From the website: "Code for All is an international network of civic innovators who are helping to transform their own communities by using technology to improve government and foster citizen engagement."
