El Metate is a hidden neighborhood gem in the Mission. They have one of the better [vegetarian] burritos (and epic fish tacos) in the City.
All of their vegetarian options are more interesting than average because they put in more than just rice+beans+salsa (broccoli, zucchini, carrots, you know, fun stuff).
A "metate" is a stone for grinding grains into flour.
