Spellcheck doesn't appear to be working in the editor in Chrome/Windows XP. --aa
- Spell check should be working now if your browser supports it. To get to the spelling suggestions menu you'll need to hold down Control while right clicking. Not perfect, but better than before.
- Not working in os x chrome. -- ArlenAbraham
- A sig button. --aa
- Map icons: books, gas stations, etc. If there are no good CC-licensed icons, have Brian Fong make you some. He's good at icons. -- ArlenAbraham
- If you copy a link inside the editor and then paste it inside the editor it appears as an external link regardless of where the link actually goes. Also that little eternal link icon kinda gets in the way in WinXP/Chrome. I can send screenshots if ya need. (sig link copied and pasted). --aa
- When I use the arrow keys to scroll a page with a map, both the page and map scroll. Would be nice to have just the page scroll and the map stay locked (vista, firefox 5.0) -- JT

Got some weird behavior tonight on the Financial District page. Added a new image and was able to change the image properties with a double click. The existing image just gives me a link dialog and no image properties. Also couldn't figure out how to delete unused images. (Vista, firefox 5.0)-- JT

Something was for sure screwy on that page. It may have been caused during the old content import. Regardless, situations like this are bound to pop up. The question is: can someone figure out how to fix the page without using the "Source" button. Mike was able to fiddle around and fix it without using the "Source" button, but it was kinda tricky (1. Double clicked on image to see the Link dialog, then entered nothing to remove the link. 2. Selected images and then noticed Heading 3 was selected, so he unselected it. And maybe a tad more fiddle).
To make fixing situations like this easier, I've added in the Remove Format button (the little blue eraser in the toolbar). If you select a bunch of stuff and press it it'll clear out some styling and links. In this case it fixed that problem immediately. So let's see if it helps! If you see stuff like this please keep reporting it! :) --philip

- it might be a nice courtesy to let people who aren't logged in know that their IP will be published if they make an edit. --aa

Map error - I got an internal server error when clicking edit map on this page - http://sf.localwiki.org/Alta_Plaza/_edit - ryan
- Good catch! That's because the page doesn't exist yet. Added to bug tracker!
- It'd be nice if when you hovered over map regions / points it would show the name for that linked page. This will quickly become a nice canonical map of SF neighborhoods. :) -nathan

I kind of miss the 'talk' or 'discussion' page feature from MediaWiki. Is there a place for me to have discussions about potential changes, or reverted changes, etc on different pages that I'm missing? - Rebecca
- There are talk pages on the SF Wiki but looks like they are created from scratch. See Muni/talk for example. --SimonFung
- I like the user statistics and information feature from the Daviswiki. --SimonFung
- The people pages are very old school. I'd love to see more social features, especially since building community is such a huge part of what LocalWiki is about. At minimum, I'd love to be able to easily see a list of a person's contributions. At maximum, it would be cool to see innovative features like page buddies. Also, this may seem relatively minor, but I like how they're called "People" and not "Users." Would love to see the URL prefix reflect that as well. --Eugene (now regretting I didn't use an old school WikiWord convention for my username)
- Bug report: I tried creating a link to Lincoln Park on the Garden House Cafe page, but it didn't show up in the link field. However, the page definitely exists. Doesn't work here either. --Eugene
- Wikispot Import Map (Bug) Report: Because the Land's End Labyrinth is not a street address, I originally used the longitude and latitude to mark the location on the original wikispot map. After the import, the co-ordinates ended up appearing on the wiki page itself but did not carry over into the localwiki map. Not really a big deal as the number of pages like this must be very low. --HimySyed

Bug report: On Blondie's Pizza page the underline feature does not turn off. I tried deleting the Blondie's Pizza words and retyping them again but somehow the underline feature is still on. --SimonFung
- Ok ignore the above bug report, I realize all the links on the wiki are underline. --SimonFung
- Bug report: When you add a caption to pictures, the caption becomes bold and large like one of the heading style. Please set default back to normal style. --SimonFung
- Bug report: I added pictures to Smitten Ice Cream and Biergarten. I made the picture a little larger on the edit page. Hit save and when I see the final results the pictures are bigger size. Almost 3000 X 3000. I went back to resize, hit save and the pictures are back to the enormous size again. Not sure if there a picture bus. --SimonFung
