SamTrans is a bus system that connects several points in the southern part of San Francisco to cities on the peninsula.

The numbers on SamTrans buses can be pretty confusing, but there's a system to it.

• If a bus number starts with 100, it stops at one or more BART stations.
• A bus with a number starting with 200 stops at one or more Caltrain stations.
• A "300" means the bus makes a stop services at least one BART station and at least one Caltrain station.

SamTrans buses make stops at several points of interest in the Bay Area, including museums, shopping malls, skate parks, and Paramount's Great America.
