A Write-a-Thon is an engagement event format that wikiSLO uses to help spread the word and create content for the wiki. A Write-a-Thon event is usually a 3-5 hour event held in a public setting such as a Library or Cafe where the public is invited to come engage with the wiki, socialize, and meet new people. Write-a-Thons are really fun, interesting, and good for the wiki, usually resulting in 20-50 new pages, new registered users, and many edits. You should join in the fun the next time you hear of one!
