History
On January 8, 1907 several (6+) railroads were consolidated to form the Northwestern Pacific Railroad which ran from Sausalito and Tiburon to Trinidad with a branch line out to Sonoma, among others. The "Sonoma Valley Branch" of the San Francisco & North Pacific Railroad was now a branch line of the NPR.
Lines and Depots
- On May 5, 1907 the main line ran from Tiburon to Arcata.
- On February 16, 1916, the main line ran from San Francisco to Trinidad.
- In 1975, the main line was Schellville to Eureka, 273 miles.
