Whittier Elementary School is an Elementary School in North Toledo.  It's address is Walker avenue, but Lewis Avenue is the busier thoroughfare.

History

Whittier has been on the location since at least the 1940's.  An annex used as a cafeteria was built onto the side of the old, three-story school building but this was razed in the early 1980's. 

In 2006, work was begun on a new school building situated in the playground on Lewis avenue.  It was opened in 2008.  As of 2013, the old school building still stands.
