Universe Crew, 1995 (front cover)Universe Crew was an art and music collective that spanned the early 1990s to the early 2000s. Their debut album Universe Crew, self-released in 1995, became the first release on Adrian Sherwood's On-U Sound Records imprint, Green Tea Records, in 1997 as What's Inside Your Afro?.  Green Tea also released a 12" single from the album in 1997 and a remix 12" single in 1998 that included work from Sherwood and Japanese dub band Audio Active.  Some time around 2004 Universe Crew performed possibly their final show together at an art event at the Davis Building.
