Furniture Depot is located in Woodland right of the 113. The address is 1386 E Main Street in the same complex as Ross and the discount grocer. They sell a wide variety of couches, including custom-made couches, mattresses, tables, bedroom furniture and more.

I had a wonderful experience here! I wanted to add this page to the wiki because this place was totally worth the 10 minute drive out of Davis and I wanted to highly recommend it to my fellow Davisites in search of good quality furniture at outstanding prices.

I have been looking for a sofa and loveseat set for about 2 months now and have been to many furniture stores from the Bay Area to Sacramento. By far, the best prices I saw were at Furniture Depot. Not only were the prices excellent, the manager, Alex worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. I liked the frame of one sofa, but the cushion style of another. Alex agreed to make me the sofa of my dreams by building the frame I liked, with the cushions I wanted, in the color I liked, in the exact size I wanted. I essentially ordered a custom sofa to the exact specifications I wanted at a price much less than than somewhere like Ashley where you are stuck getting exactly what they have. This is possible because they have their own factory in the area so your sofa will be made here, in the US, rather than shipped over from China. I didn't feel any pressure while I was in the store, and even after I had put the money down I called the next day with a concern and Alex still happily worked with me. I felt like I was treated with the individual respect and attention a customer might expect in a really upscale boutique but I got a better price than any place I have looked (even better than Target and Costco my friends!)

Some final advice: Ask for Alex. He is willing to work with you on the price so if you see something you really like, he will work with you.

2009-09-12 15:27:01   Don't be fooled by the "Going Out of Business" sale signs that are around town (at least, they are around Davis). We were told that one of the partners is buying the other out. They are still ordering new furniture — in at least some cases, the same furniture that many other places sell — not offering great sales in order to move merchandise on hand. Prices are pretty good but not amazing, and while people like Alex are willing to work with you, they are also a bit smarmy. —CovertProfessor

2009-12-24 14:30:29   Hello Owner of the Furniture Depot, located at 1386 E. Main Street, Woodland CA 95776.

On or about October 2009, I order a six (6) piece sectional, two (2) corners and three single pieces with one ottoman. I had specifically stated that I did not like leather and if I could order it in material. The person I placed my order with was named Alex. The total cost for everything was $1199.00. I put $500 down and was told that it would take 4 to six weeks to make and I would have plenty of time to pay. I asked if I could make payments and Alex said yes. I made a payment in November 2009 and then I made the final payment on or about December 3, 2009. I asked them when I could expect my furniture to be delivered and they stated that they were making it. I went in several times a week and was told they were making it and because it was a special order it was taking longer than expected. Finally on or about December 12th, a lady that was sitting behind the desk told me that they could not make the furniture I had ordered. She stated that because it said Sierra on the order form they could not make the arms. I told her I did not order arms, that it was a sectional. And she said she could not make out the picture Alex had drawn and so they were not going to make it. She never offered me another chance to order something else. I asked her for my money back and she said they did not have any cash in the store and she would notify the owner. I went back several times after that and was always told that they would make the phone call to the owner and that he would send me a check. It is now December 24th and I have not received a check or gotten a call from the owner to tell me when I would be receiving my refund. This is a DEMAND NOTICE to inform all that are a party to my refund to send me a refund in the Amount of $1,199.00 within five days of December 25, 2009. Your attentio to this matter is appreciated. appreciated. —luellavaughn
