1st Street in Marysville is a street that runs between F Street (where F Street curves toward E Street) and the intersection of B and 2nd Streets (where 1st Street curves into 2nd Street).

From east to west, significant places on 1st Street include the Marysville Buddhist Church, Digital Direct, Marysville Levee Commission, Szechwan Chinese Restaurant, Chinese American Museum of Northern California, Cakes by Request, the Suey Sing Society Chamber of Commerce, Edward Jones, Congregation Beth Shalom, Fruitman Law Office, Silver Dollar Saloon, the Bok Kai Temple, and Plaza Park.

In Veterans Park and on any street or sidewalk in the area bounded by 1st Street, 8th Street, B Street, and E Street, it is illegal to use roller skates, a skateboard, or any similar wheeled coasting device, except if you're disabled. This area includes virtually all of 1st Street. (Marysville Municipal Code § 10.76.010)

History

Hong Wo and W. T. Ellis, Sr. used to own stores on 1st Street, which was once the heart of Marysville's famous Chinatown.
