French Creek is a creek that is about two miles long. It begins in Sierra County and flows into Willow Creek about one mile north of Camptonville. It was named for the fact that a large percentage of the gold miners living there in the Gold Rush era were French.

There is also a tributary of the Yuba River middle fork that is called French Creek, but that French Creek is located entirely in Nevada County.
