Frisky Lake is an artificial reservoir south of the
Yuba River, southwest of
Smartsville, north of
Beale Air Force Base, and southeast of
Hammonton. It is formed by Frisky Dam on a tributary of
Hutchinson Creek. At full capacity, it contains 100 acre-feet of water, but its normal water level is only about 20 acre-feet of water.
Dam
Frisky Dam was built in 1958 and is owned by the United States Air Force. It is an earthen dam used for flood control and recreational purposes.
