The Live Oak Fall Festival is held annually on the third Saturday in September in Live Oak. It has been held for decades and has been variously known as the Harvest Festival, Fall Festival, Walnut Festival, and Peach Festival. It is promoted by the Live Oak Chamber of Commerce. Many volunteers meet monthly and put in long hours to bring the event to fruition.

The festival kicks off with a parade along Broadway in the morning, and then continues in the Live Oak Main Park until 9:00 p.m. The festival includes a car show, a BBQ ribs cook-off, and a main area with vendors and food booths. The Live Oak Fire Department and Sutter County Sheriff Department have displays and speak with the public. There is a stage where musicians play and sing. There are typically fireworks displays at 9:00 p.m. that rival many 4th of July displays, although in 2008, the fireworks were canceled for financial reasons.
