The Polar Bear Plunge takes place annually at Gauche Aquatic Park in Yuba City on the morning of New Year's Day. It consists of sliding down a 25-foot waterslide or jumping into a pool! All participants receive a T-shirt printed with the words "I Survived the Plunge." Additional prizes are awarded for the oldest, youngest, and best dressed "polar bears."
