The Sutter Buttes Gem and Mineral Show has been held annually since 1992. It takes place at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds on the second weekend in November (Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). It is hosted by the Sutter Buttes Gem and Mineral Society and is centered around displays of gems and minerals from the Sutter Buttes. It also includes an event called "Christmas in November," which takes up much of the show's duration. Admission is free.
