The Yuba-Sutter United Way is a nonprofit organization and a member of the United Way of America and United Way Worldwide. Locally owned and governed by community leaders from Yuba and Sutter Counties, it works to improve the quality of life in the Yuba-Sutter community by bringing together people and resources from across the community: businesses, government, individuals, faith groups, labor, non-profits, service clubs, students.
The Yuba-Sutter United Way funds more than twenty local, non-profit health and human service agencies that provide assistance with:
- Helping Children and Youth Succeed
- Strengthening and Supporting Families and Senior Citizens
- Improving Access to Health Care
- Promoting Independence and Economic Self-Sufficiency
In just the last six years, the Yuba-Sutter United Way has raised over $1.5 million.1 The annual fundraising campaign, which is run by a committee of community volunteers and funds all its member agencies, is a big part of the mission of the Yuba-Sutter United Way.
