The Alameda South Shore Center (formerly the Alameda Towne Centre) is a newly renovated shopping center on Alameda's main island, located on the corner of Otis Drive and Park Street; officially at 523 South Shore Center West.
This is the main place on the island where the big box stores and chains are all clustered together. So if you are in a car and are running errands, there's a high chance you'll end up here at some point.
There are so many parking spots!
Upon first approach, you may think that this place is a strip mall. But it's not. It's multi-sided and also has stores that are detached from the main mall part. Also, there are some paths between some of the stores, although they're kind of abandoned.
