(Jackson, MI) - State Senator Randy Richardville, who represents Michigan's 17th State Senate District that includes portions of Washtenaw and Jackson Counties, and who serves as President Pro-Tempore of the Michigan Senate, today announced his endorsement of Brian Rooney, Republican candidate for Michigan's 7th Congressional District.

Rooney is the grandson of Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney, and his brother Tom is a freshman Republican congressman in Florida.
Brian Rooney, who is seeking the GOP nomination in the 7th Congressional District (Eaton County), is decidedly not offering voters a moderate alternative to either incumbent Democrat Mark Schauer or his Republican opponent, Tim Walberg.
