The State of Michigan collected $5 in corporate fees from the Chelsea and Francisco Telephone Company in June, 1905.

In 1906, the Chelsea and Francisco Telephone Company received permission to run a telephone wire across the Michigan Central Railroad tracks at Guthrie Crossing, two and a half miles west of Chelsea, and a second wire five miles west of Chelsea at Notton Crossing.

The 1910 Washtenaw County Telephone Book from the Michigan State Telephone Company lists a Chelsea - Francisco rural line reachable through the Chelsea exchange.

For the year ending 1916, the telephone company is reported to have 10 subscribers on 10 miles of pole.
